Every year, at the start of the academic school year, Bethesda’s Troop 233 takes its annual hike up Old Rag Mountain in the Shenandoah National Park.
Old Rag is not exactly for the faint of heart, as the hikers covered approximately ten miles going up the mountain and back down the other side, taking the good part of the day. This year, the weather was glorious, sunny but not too hot. And we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful views, and negotiate some tight spots.
