Goshen Scout Camp, July 2013

Goshen Scout Camp, run by the National Capital Area Council, is great fun, and many of our scouts participate.  We spend a week in the woods in Virginia, working on merit badges, camping, cooking, and participating in a huge variety of activities – really too numerous to mention.

This was a great year, despite (ahem) a few minor rain showers.  On the second day of camp we “won the oar”, which (at Camp Marriott) means we were Troop of the Day.  At the end of our stay, and after placing well in the week’s end competitions, we were recognized as Troop of the Week!

We’re looking forward to recognizing all of our Goshen participants (and merit badge earners) at our next Court of Honor.  Hope you can join us next year!

This was an epic moment (this might take some explaining – ask someone who was there)
