Troop 233 has been an active boy scout troop since 1965, and meets at the Concord St. Andrews United Methodist Church at the intersection of Goldsboro and River Roads in Bethesda, MD. We are composed of boys from Bethesda and the surrounding area, and are part of the National Capital Area Council, which includes the DC metro area.
We meet on Monday nights, approximately 2-3 times a month during the school year. We welcome visitors to our troop meetings, so check the calendar for our next meeting. We also organize campouts or other outdoor events approximately once a month. Our troop web site contains our calendar, along with other information about our troop. Parents, your suggestions are welcome, and scouts, we’d love to have your participation!

If you are a girl age 11-17 and interested in joining a Scouts BSA troop, please check out Troop 4, a new all-girl program also affiliated with Concord-St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Meeting dates and times are most Mondays at 7:30 pm, i.e. when Troop 233 meets.
Pandemic Update: Since March 2020, Troop 233 has curtailed its outdoor activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but still meets virtually most Mondays at 7:30 pm. In addition, when conditions allow, and following all local guidelines and best practices, we occasionally arrange outdoor activities. For more information, please visit our COVID-19 page.

To communicate amongst scouts and parents, Troop 233 uses Google Groups – one for the Parents Committee and a General list. We use these lists to send out important announcements about meetings, events and calendar changes. Also, we maintain our files on a shared drive which is only accessible to members of our troop email lists.
These are closed groups, so announcements and documents can only be seen by members. If you are a scout or parent, please request to join this group.
